DFDS collaborates with Copenhagen Business School to offer internships for students from the BSc International Shipping and Trade program. Joining DFDS as an intern opens the door to an exciting learning journey where you’ll get the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally in a dynamic, international transport and logistics company.
As we believe in giving our interns meaningful opportunities, you'll be involved in challenging projects that align with both your personal interests and capabilities as well as business needs. To support your growth, you'll be assigned a mentor who will provide guidance and feedback through regular check-ins and serve as a valuable sparring partner, helping you refine your ideas and stay on track.
Internship - Direct Procurement
The Procurement department is a strong integrated partner to the business, and we are focusing on developing and creating sustainable solutions for our customers, stakeholders and procurement in general. With a broad exposure to the whole organization, you’ll have the opportunity to impact the tasks and outcome in close collaboration with the rest of the organization and team.
As an Intern with us, you’ll be involved in projects that will give you in-depth and hands-on experience in the interesting field of procurement. Throughout your journey with us, you’ll get opportunity to grow and make a difference for procurement and the stakeholders. Your primary responsibilities will involve:
- Spend and supplier analysis
- Market research
- Change management activities
- Business improvement projects and coordination
- Contract negotiation participation
- Support to Category Manager and Sourcing Manager in running project and tenders
- Main driver of identified project according to our 7-step procurement process.
About you
Are you eager to deepen your knowledge in procurement and supply chain? Do you have a strong work ethic and a passion for learning? And would you like to be part of a dynamic environment where teamwork and creativity are highly valued? If so, we are looking for you to join us!
You bring a positive mindset to your work, even when managing multiple projects and shifting priorities. Furthermore, you are:
- Studying a BSc in International Shipping and Trade at Copenhagen Business School and are ready for an internship from September 2025
- Structured and keeping things on track when tackling new tasks
- A natural problem solver, when working individually and in a team
- Detail-oriented and ensure data accuracy in your work
- Confident using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
