Student Assistant - Freight Customer Service Team

We are seeking two student assistants (part-time) for weekend shifts at the freight office on the Gotlandsbolaget’s Oslo–Frederikshavn/Copenhagen route, based in Copenhagen. The position requires availability for weekend shifts once or twice a month, with occasional weekday shifts as needed. On average, this role entails 16–48 hours per month, with particular relevance during the winter and summer periods.

In this engaging and dynamic role, you will be the linchpin in ensuring the smooth transit of goods and vehicles across borders and waters. You will work alongside seasoned professionals and have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our operations. What kind of exciting challenges can you expect to meet in this role?
- Liaising with a range of stakeholders including freight customers, customs officials, and vessel crews to ensure coordinated operations.
- Facilitating the check-in of drivers aboard our ferries, ensuring a seamless boarding process.
- Creating and managing essential customs clearance documents in compliance with international trade regulations.
- Handling bookings and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Current enrollment in a higher education program (it is a plus if your studies are related to Logistics, Maritime Studies, or Business Administration)
- Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
- A genuine interest in the maritime industry and customer service excellence.
- Fluency in Danish and English.
