About the role 

As our Product Owner, you will be at the forefront of DFDS's digital transformation journey, making a tangible impact on our operations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a data strategy that will not only benefit our current processes but also pave the way for future innovations in AI and automation.

You will be responsible for leading the strategy, development, and delivery of data-centric products that integrate various data sources, providing a cohesive view of DFDS assets to enhance decision-making and benefit tracking. You will drive the creation of digital twins within DFDS’s operational framework, enabling real-time monitoring, simulation, and optimization of processes to boost performance.

More importantly, you will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lay the groundwork for future AI applications that will support automation and predictive capabilities within operations.
• Act as the primary bridge between data engineering, analytics, business units, and operational teams to ensure alignment with DFDS’s overall strategic goals.

Additionally, you will work with business stakeholders and end users to establish key metrics and measurement frameworks, tracking the impact of data products and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and value delivery.

About you

However, to be considered for the position, we expect that you have professional experience with the following:

• Product Ownership Experience: Proven experience in product ownership within data, analytics, or digital transformation, ideally with exposure to operations-focused environments.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of data product development, especially those that enable data-driven decision-making, benefit tracking, and digital twin applications.
• AI and Automation: Knowledge of AI and automation technologies, with a keen interest in leveraging these for operational efficiencies.
• Collaborative Skills: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across business and technical teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
