DFDS is developing rapidly across Europe and Northern Africa. We have an ambitious climate action plan to reduce CO2 emissions – and we are determined to become an even more inclusive place to work. As a growing company, the need for alignment and scalability is apparent, and standardization and digitization are key priorities. Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond? If so, you could be the newest addition to our team as Rewards Specialist.
Be part of the movement - and play your part.
About the role
We are looking for a Rewards Specialist with strong expertise in rewards processes, ranging from base salary to incentive programmes. The ideal candidate will also have worked with performance management and be an experienced user of compensation and performance management modules in Workday. Also, you should have a solid foundation within benchmarks and compensation analyses, thus being able to support our work on the EU’s Pay Transparency Directive.
You will be working with the following areas:
- Drive annual reward processes, specifically:
- Global salary review in Workday, incl. planning, communication, training, reporting and evaluation
- Annual bonus award and settlement
- Long-term incentive award and settlement in J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions (formerly Global Shares)
- Drive annual performance management process, incl. planning, communication, training, reporting and evaluation
- Be Subject Matter Expert (SME) on implementation of benefits module in Workday in 2025
- Assume ownership for compensation benchmark data, incl. collaboration with external compensation data providers
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to support HR colleagues, e.g. benchmarking, country-specific frameworks, etc.
- Support Head of Rewards on key projects, most notably design and implementation of DFDS Career Framework, conducting pay gap analyses, etc.
As our new Rewards Specialist, you will join the People Division. We support DFDS’ overall strategy and works to ensure that DFDS becomes an even greater place to work. Specifically, you will be a part of the Centre of Excellence team – based in our new headquarter premises in Nordhavn, Copenhagen – reporting to the Head of Rewards.
Within the Centre of Excellence team, we are responsible for different areas. However, we are team players and take great pride in knowledge sharing and in exchanging tools and approaches to inspire and help each other. While we are dedicated professionals, we also make sure to have fun along the way - both in the office and in off-site social activities.

The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications:
- Experienced Rewards professional with at least 5 years relevant experience from consultancy or corporate
- Can work independently and assume ownership for core reward and performance processes, incl. developing and improving these

- Motivated by joining a Rewards team in the making with the opportunity to apply own experience in creating the right set-up for DFDS
