Senior Functional D365 Consultant

With the ongoing ERP transformation and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365F&O), DFDS is on a digital transformation journey across Finance and Procurement. Replacing all current ERP solutions with D365F&O across more than 30 markets and +100 entities is a key part of our ambition towards becoming a more digitized and standardized operator.
To continue our work towards achieving our goals, we are looking for an ambitious Senior Functional D365 Consultant to join the Atlas Programme, our ERP Programme team. The Atlas Programme consists of six delivery teams, working in a multinational, inclusive and diverse team, having members across different countries such as Denmark, Poland, Türkiye and India.

About the role
Your primary focus as a Senior Functional D365 Consultant will be to take part in the D365F&O implementations from A-Z and provide guidance in utilizing best practices according to standard functionality as well as identifying potential gaps in the processes.
You will be part of an implementation delivery team, where you will work closely with Functional Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Integration, Finance, Procurement and Change Management Specialists.
Moreover, you will be able to continuously build on your D365F&O knowledge and you will be included in a large D365F&O Community where you will have a close collaboration with our global D365F&O Finance Business Partners.
Main responsibilities:
- Act as an internal consultant and provide guidance within D365F&O processes when implementing the application in new entities
- Ensure that the business requirements are clear and met
- Lead functional discussions and bridge the gap between business requirements and functionality in D365F&O
- Support the Functional Solution Architect when mapping and designing solutions in adherence with best practices to cover the needs of the business
- Act as gate keeper to ensure that the End-to-End processes are always taken into consideration when forming the design
- As an expert within your functional area, act as the “go to” person and advisor for the Finance Specialist, Process Owners and local business working with D365F&O.
About you

With this in mind, we think that your background in the role as a Senior Functional D365 Consultant can be many and we do not expect you to know everything about every single module within D365F&O, you might have a specific area of expertise. However, it is a prerequisite that you bring experience with D365F&O and/or Dynamics AX.
Moreover, we imagine that:
- You have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Finance, Procurement and/or Sales processes in a global organization.
- You are excellent in analyzing and understanding business processes and linking this to functionality in D365F&O.
- You are not afraid to challenge the AS IS processes.
- You have experience with complex problem solving, delivering insights and providing guidance.
- You might have a background in consulting, or at least experience with acting as an advisor (perhaps a Subject Matter Expert) and leading/facilitating the discussions.
- You have excellent communication skills and are able to discuss and collaborate with colleagues from different business units and backgrounds.
- You have a strong English proficiency, both in writing and orally.
- You have a fundamental understanding of integrations and how D365F&O interacts with other applications.
- You are curious about learning new functionalities and developing your skills.
- You take pride in your work and deliver the best possible service to your stakeholders in the organization.
