About the role
We are looking for a Martech Engineer to work as a Customer Data Platform (CDP) specialist to help us develop a single centralized customer database containing data from all touchpoints. You would work alongside our already advanced digital analytics tracking setup and be a part of our team that plays a central role in transforming how DFDS orchestrates and activates user data. You have the capability to collect and unify first-party customer data from multiple sources, including integrating with the Marketing Data Lakehouse, in order to build a single, coherent, complete view of each customer.
You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our CDP together with the team and stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and utilization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data strategies that enhance customer engagement and drive business growth.
Your key responsibilities will include to:
- Design, implement, and maintain the CDP
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data strategies that enhance customer engagement and drive business growth.
- Monitor data flow, identify anomalies, and ensure data quality and consistency, with a particular focus on security and GDPR compliance.
- Collaborate with business, product, and data teams to ensure data needs are met.
- Develop and execute data strategies to improve customer segmentation, targeting, personalization, and customer loyalty in collaboration with marketing.
- Create and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, and best practices, as well as test environments for integrations.

About you

- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in data engineering and/or data platform development (CRM, CDP, CMS, or something similar)
- Strong understanding of, and experience with, working on a CDP (Segment experience a plus) and data integration techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL, ETL, and data modelling, as well as full fluency in an at least one modern programming language (C#, Python, Javascript, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaborative skills in order to work well with cross-functional teams and ensure data needs are met.
- Experience with data privacy regulations, data governance and best practices.
- The desire to work in a flexible, empowered, and dynamic environment.
