About the role 

As part of the Treasury team, you will get an exciting opportunity to develop your competencies in a professional and dynamic organisation with a high degree of knowledge sharing and sparring. Tasks will vary in nature, both in terms of content and duration, depending on your experience and seniority, but you will among other things:

• Handle DFDS’ liquidity & financial reserves
• Manage and hedge interest rate risks, bunker risks, ETS risks and currency risks
• Contribute to and execute decisions related to DFDS’ funding strategy including bank facilities, ship financing, bond market presence and maintenance of DFDS’ credit rating
• Conduct financial analysis to senior management
• Contribute to ongoing optimization of treasury operations and risk management setup
• Work with our shared service center team in Poznan to consolidate group liquidity, integrate acquisitions and optimize our cash management set-up

In the role, you will play a key part in driving strategic priorities such as funding and hedging strategies while also being involved in the daily operations. This means you will follow developments in financial markets, be in frequent contact with our banks, and trade financial instruments on behalf of DFDS. Additionally, you will interact frequently with senior internal stakeholders and stakeholders across DFDS’ business in Europe and in Turkey.

Placed in our new headquarter at Marmormolen in Copenhagen, you will be part of Group Treasury which consists of a team of 7 people based in both Denmark and in Istanbul.

About you

This role is suitable for both experienced managers looking to advance their careers and senior managers seeking new challenges in a dynamic environment

The ideal candidate for this position has:

• At least 3 years of experience from a corporate Treasury function or the banking sector
• Strong financial analysis skills and experience with financial risk management
• A master's degree in Economics or Finance with excellent results.

As a person, you are curious and collaborative by nature with a positive attitude towards challenges. You will be engaging with many different stakeholders; thus, it is important that you can handle different priorities simultaneously while having an eye for details and delivering projects on time.

In addition, you enjoy challenging the status quo, can make complexities easy to understand in written and spoken English and you love to work in a team and have fun while doing it.
