About the role
As a Shipping Supervisor, you will be at the heart of our operations, covering multiple business areas from customer service to the full A-Z timeline of production. Your responsibilities will include cargo planning, capacity management, and various administrative tasks. You will be the first point of contact for customers, vessel crew members, terminal staff, maritime service suppliers, and colleagues abroad. You will oversee shipping supervision and customer service functions specifically related to the Esbjerg-Immingham and Fredericia-Klaipeda routes.
As part of this, you will:
- Operational and Commercial Activities: Daily cargo planning, pre-preparation for vessel loading, and rate calculations for spot enquiries.
- Customer Service: Addressing transport needs for cargo.
- Administrative Tasks: Completing vessel departure processes, invoicing services, monitoring supplier invoices, and managing payments.
- Shipping Agency Functions: Assisting vessel crew with various needs.
- Terminal Liaison: Coordinating loading tasks and handling terminal operations for clients.
- Maritime Services Coordination: Managing tugboat/pilotage and bunkering of vessels in port.
- Communication: Serving as a point of contact for colleagues in the UK, Germany, and Sweden.
- Statistical Work: Conducting various statistical analyses for management purposes.
- Storage Calculation: Managing cargo unit storage in terminal facilities.
As your Shipping Supervisor you will be a part of our shift rotation, participating in evening and weekend shifts.
About you
You are an educated Forwarding or Shipping agent with a background in the shipping/logistics industry. You possess knowledge of hazardous materials (IMDG, ADR), customs formalities (Import/Export), and Authority systems. You are dedicated, motivated, reliable, and trustworthy. You thrive on process and social interaction, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships daily.
In addition to this, you are:
- Fluent in Danish and English
- Able to stay focused in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen.
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
