Student Assistant - Group Treasury

About the role
The position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your professional competencies in a professional and dynamic environment with a high degree of knowledge sharing and sparring.
Placed in our new headquarter on Marmormolen in Copenhagen, you will be a part of an ambitious team consisting of seven people based in both Denmark and in Istanbul.
On a daily basis, you will be collaborating closely with many internal colleagues as well as with DFDS’ financial institutions.
As Student Assistant in Group Treasury, your key responsibilities will be to:
- Drive Treasury reporting – including cash, debt, commodities, interest rates, and foreign exchange
- Provide reports and analyses to Senior Management on liquidity, debt, financial risks, and hedging of these to ensure compliance towards Financial Policies
- Reporting compliance towards our financial counterparties
- Develop robust financial models in Excel, driving efficiency and accuracy
- Participate in various Treasury related tasks and projects, in relation to hedging of financial risks, optimisation of cash management setup, intercompany loans, guarantees etc.
In addition, you will also be supporting ad-hoc tasks related to the daily treasury operations, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to more complex tasks and projects as you develop in the role.
The position is planned for 15-20 hours/week and will be flexible around exam schedules.
About you
You are ideally at the end of your bachelor's or start of your master’s degree within e.g. Economics, Finance or Business Administration, and have a natural interest in Finance and Economics.
As a person, you are ambitious, curious, and collaborative by nature with a positive attitude towards challenges. Whether it’s challenging the status quo or diving into complex tasks, you approach everything with optimism and a team-oriented attitude.
Ideally, you also have the following qualifications:
- Work independently, systematically, and take ownership of your tasks
- An eye for the detail and deliver in high quality on time
- Ability to handle different priorities at the same time, and working with several stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with flair for IT and good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Knowledge of financial derivatives is an advantage
- Fluent in English both in speaking and writing
