About the role
At DFDS, we are undergoing a transformative journey, digitizing our back-office operations. The core of this initiative is the implementation of a cutting-edge ERP system for our Group Finance and Procurement departments. We are now in the deployment phase, embracing Microsoft Dynamics, including D365 Finance and multiple ISVs, as we transition away from our legacy financial systems.
The role as a Business Analyst encompasses diverse responsibilities, ranging from in depth business analysis to improvement project participation. You will be an integral part of a highly skilled international team, located in DFDS’ offices in Istanbul, Poznan and Copenhagen.
This position will reside with the Copenhagen office. The team encompasses 10 senior profiles with extensive expertise in providing technical support and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics 365 FO.
Key skills & competencies required:
Collaborating with your fellow colleagues in the D365 Operations team, you will be responsible for driving specific technical improvement projects, way of working initiatives as well as in debt analysis of integrations within the D365 application.
Your proficiency in the MS Dynamics application suite, including D365 Finance/AX 2012, will be instrumental in this role. Approximately 20% of the role also encompases end-user support, thus it is a benefit if you have experience with end-user support.
The job consists of the below tasks:
- In-depth analysis of processes and applications related to D365 and finance in general
- User acceptance testing
- Taking part in test and release management related activities, including staying updated on new features and functionality in Microsoft releases
- Acting as a liason between the D365 Operations team and relevant stakeholders in and outside of the programme
- Leading and participating in various continuous improvement activities to improve our ways of working, processes or application improvements
- Managing support tickets and documenting change requests
- Offering support to various business areas, including Finance and Procurement
The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications:
- Proficiency as an adept D365 FO user
- In-depth knowledge regarding integrations in and towards Microsoft D365
- Comfortable with cross-departmental communication in English across various global locations
- Proficient in structured problem-solving and experienced in root-cause analysis
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical users
- Previous experience with financial modules is highly advantageous
- Previous experience in support or operational roles related to ERP systems is highly advantageous
- Experience within security roles and user and license management is a plus
- Familiarity with ITIL practices is a valuable asset, but not a requirement
