About the role
DFDS is developing rapidly across Europe and Northern Africa. We have an ambitious climate action plan to reduce CO2 emissions – and we are determined to become an even more inclusive place to work. We are looking for a Head of Talent Acquisition to set direction and execute priorities, processes and systems within the Talent Acquisition space, i.e. attraction, recruiting and onboarding across DFDS.
You will be responsible for setting the direction of our Talent Acquisition efforts, foster a great Talent Acquisition community across different countries ensuring that our Talent Acquisition community and People Division colleagues have the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. You will have access to the latest technology, including Workday, and resources to support your work.
Specifically, you will be the lead on:
Attract
- Bring our DFDS EVP to life in cooperation with Brand and Communication colleagues
- Define concept for Career Fairs and other external recruiting events (define priorities, develop playbook, etc.)
- Own our LinkedIn contract
Recruit
- Own our recruitment processes, incl. continuously refine and secure alignment to drive standardization
- Be system owner for our current ATS, Teamtailor, incl. vendor meetings, reporting, upgrades, integrations, promotion activities, etc.
- Drive our digital 2025-2027 TA roadmap with a view to further adopt relevant Workday features and apply AI
- Be system owner of our current assessment tools and define future concept for assessments (review tools, develop playbook, etc.)
- Work closely with our local Talent Acquisition teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing
Onboard
- Define preboarding concept and roll out
- Relaunch onboarding surveys, incl. secure reporting and ensure follow-up actions
- Drive our digital 2025-2027 Onboarding roadmap with a view to further adopt relevant Workday features and apply AI
As our new Head of Talent Acquisition, you will join the People Division, who supports DFDS’ overall strategy and works to ensure that DFDS becomes an even greater place to work. Specifically, you will be a part of the Centre of Excellence team, reporting to the Head of Centre of Excellence.
Within the CoE team, we are responsible for different areas. However, we are team players and take great pride in knowledge sharing and in exchanging tools, approaches, etc. to inspire and help each other. While we have a strong professionalism, we make sure to have fun along the way - both in the office and in off-site social activities.
About you

The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant field and having extensive experience in talent acquisition (8+ years)
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful talent acquisition and onboarding strategies
- Strong understanding of talent acquisition system landscape, including AI
- Ability to drive change and implement new initiatives, with strong project management and communication skills
You excel at both initiating and completing tasks without getting sidetracked. You work in a structured, result-oriented manner and enjoy working with a diverse range of stakeholders. And you thrive in a dynamic environment and can adjust strategies as needed.
