About the role

As a Chief Product owner for Technology & Innovation Ferry operations, you will be responsible for the tech solutions in terminal areas and on our vessels, e.g. gate systems, yard management and vessel loading software. You will have 3 agile teams (~30 FTEs) as well as 5 direct reports. Together you will work on improving and automating the way we operate to lower costs and reduce carbon emissions.
In our new 2030 digitalisation strategy, we have identified various areas with a large potential for improvement utilising concepts like digital twinning and machine learning based on the data we collect. You will be able to influence the responsibility split and capabilities of our operationally focused tech teams across UK, Türkiye and Denmark to support and shape these plans. You will be fully responsible for delivering on ambitious digital transformational targets defined.
As a Chief Product Owner for T&I Ferry operations, you will join the Ferry & Terminals Tribe with around 90 colleagues. You will report directly to the VP Ferry and Terminals Tribe Lead.
When you join us, you will:
- Drive the vision for digitalisation of our Ferry Freight operations
- Manage other POs and ensure alignment on strategy and roadmaps with key stakeholders within the wider Technology & Innovation Division and with colleagues in the Ferry Division
- Ensure the successful launch and rollout of new functionality and track the impact we are making
- Be a part of the leadership in the Ferry & Terminals Tribe working closely with Ferry Divisional leadership
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Ferry Division to standardize processes and ease the scaling of digital solutions
- Support managing and prioritizing your own team’s backlog
- Set ambitious yet achievable objectives and KPIs for your team, ensuring their successful delivery
- Monitor data to understand operational realities and gather user insights to ensure data-driven decision-making
- Empower your team and direct reports to be self-driven, efficient, and collaborative.

- Significant previous experience as a digital Product Owner, with a proven track record of successful delivery of digital solutions, driving operational efficiency
- Good people management skills and a servant leadership style empowering your employees to deliver their best
- Strong operational and strategic mindset – with ability to go from strategy to digital execution
- Strong passion for data and for measuring the impact of the solutions we implement
- Proven ability to navigate complex settings with multiple stakeholders and parallel agendas across different countries
- Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between stakeholders and colleagues from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds
- Proactive approach with the ability to challenge existing practices and bring innovative ideas to the table
- Collaborative, open-minded and receptive to input from others
