Insurance Coordinator

DFDS’ shipping and logistics network covers northern and central Europe and reaches into Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, and Türkiye. As part of Group Insurance, you will help ensuring that our people, vessels, terminals, trucks, trailers, and warehouses, together with our liability towards customers, third parties and society are adequately insured and that we have systems in place to do so in the most efficient manner.

About the role
This is a great opportunity if you wish to work within a multinational company, allowing you to work with colleagues of many different nationalities and in diverse roles and levels and to contribute to the updating and shaping of tomorrow’s way of administrating and communicating about insurances.
You will join Group Legal & Insurance in our beautiful headquarter in Nordhavn, Copenhagen, where we are a team of seven. You will report to Head of Group Insurance, Sisse Friis Nilaus.
We promise you a professional and joyful working environment where we care for each other while striving to deliver great service and good results. The position is versatile with varying supportive and administrative tasks that will include:
Collecting and managing renewal data and policy information to ensure optimal cover throughout the network
Premium calculation, allocation, and payment
Communication with insurers and brokers
Providing information to and staying updated with claims handlers and local businesses and ensuring smooth communication between them, brokers and insurers
Driving insights through data and data visualization including creation of dashboards
Developing more sophisticated ways of obtaining, managing and analysing renewal data and risk information
Preparing presentations to stakeholders and management
Optimising administrative procedures in general
About you

We are looking for a candidate who is familiar with insurance administration or administration and accounting in general and who is interested in improving existing systems with new opportunities provided by AI and other digital tools.
The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications:
Analytical and mindful of details
Good mathematical skills
Self-driven, structured, and result-oriented
Great at both verbal and written communication - most communication will be in English
Proficient in Excel (knowledge of Power BI is a plus but not a requirement) and interested in digital tools
Comfortable collaborating with both close and distant colleagues on all levels of the organisation
