About the role
As our new Senior Software Engineer in the Logistics Tribe, you will play a key role in transforming and enhancing our logistics services across Europe, delivering real value to our customers. You will be part of a dynamic, agile Scrum team that is passionate about creating solutions that improve transport experiences and meet the evolving needs of our customers.
In this role, you’ll use your expertise to design, build, and optimize systems that streamline our logistics business, ensuring that our services are fast, efficient, and tailored to the needs of those we serve. Your work will directly impact the customer journey, enhancing their experience from the moment they place a transport order to the point of delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across business areas, ensuring that every solution is not only technically sound but also aligned with delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. Your ability to anticipate customer needs and build flexible, innovative logistics solutions will be critical in shaping the future of our operations
Nurturing and improving our current capabilities will be an important part of your job. Furthermore, we expect you and your team to take responsibility for a continuous modernization of the platform. Our reference architecture is event driven, API first components running in the cloud which, among other things, enable us to release code many times a day. Going forward you will be a key player in building new components and change existing solutions towards the reference architecture.
As our new Senior Software Engineer, you shall be ready to take responsibility for:
Drive and ensure best technological practices within your team.
Implement code in C# .Net of high quality, and actively seek to improve quality of existing code.
Apply SOLID principles and help others to achieve them.
Use microservice architecture whenever possible which leverages reusable components.
Engage, coordinate, and collaborate activities within and across agile teams.
To get a better feeling of the job we have asked one of our Senior Software Engineers to say a few words about how it is to work in the Logistics Tribe:
"As a backend developer in Logistics, I really enjoy being part of a small, close-knit team where we care about each other and support one another in doing our best work while still having fun together (especially during foosball games).
There are many opportunities to improve both the product and our technical solutions, and I appreciate that there is space within the team to address technical debt, improve our systems, and continue learning.
We work in a structured and collaborative way, always remember to cheer each other on, and are open to improving how we work together."
