Rewards & Performance Specialist
Would you like to support the further development of the Rewards area in a global shipping and logistics company? Join us as Reward & Performance Specialist and become part of a function on a strong journey, where you will support the work of further strengthening and developing our frameworks by driving standardisation, digitalisation, and alignment across a complex international organisation.
About the role
Be part of the movement - and play your part.
Over the past years, DFDS has grown significantly through acquisitions and today, we operate across Europe, as well as in North Africa and Türkiye. This adds complexity to our business and increases the need for strong capabilities to navigate different markets and conditions.
In this context, our People Division (PD) plays a key role in supporting the overall business strategy of making DFDS an even greater place to work. We are continuously working to strengthen efficiency, employee experience, and standardisation across countries, and as Rewards Specialist, you will play an important role in this journey.
We have taken important steps to strengthen our Rewards and Performance area, establishing key frameworks and processes across the organisation. While a solid foundation is in place, we are looking to further develop and refine our rewards approach at DFDS. This includes continuing to support the development of our career framework, strengthening alignment across performance and incentive structures and supporting upcoming regulatory requirements such as the EU Pay Transparency Directive.
You will play a key role in supporting the further professionalization of our rewards approach - from policies to governance and processes - while ensuring we fully leverage systems and data to support a more scalable and data-driven setup.
Specifically, you will be working with:
Drive annual rewards processes, specifically:
Global salary review in Workday, incl. planning, communication, training, reporting and evaluation
Annual bonus award and settlement, also in Workday
Long-term incentive award and settlement in J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions (formerly Global Shares)
Drive annual performance management process, incl. planning, communication, training, reporting and evaluation in Workday
Assume ownership for compensation benchmark data
Perform ad-hoc analyses to support HR colleagues, e.g. benchmarking, country-specific frameworks, etc.
Support the Head of Rewards & Performance on key projects, most notably implementation and development of DFDS Career Framework, conducting pay gap analyses etc.
You will report directly to the Head of Rewards & Performance and join a team of two Specialists – based in our Center of Excellence (CoE). You will work closely with Regional HR Service Delivery Heads, HR Business Partners and colleagues in Finance, Investor Relations and our IT Workday team. You will also support work for the Executive Management Team and Remuneration Committee (RemCo) at Board level.
About you
You bring a genuine motivation to further develop and mature the area within a complex organisation. You are a hands-on professional who thrives on being close to the work and bringing structure and professionalism to an area that is on a development journey.
Moreover, the ideal candidate for this position has the following qualifications:
Min. 5 years of experience in total rewards, compensation or benefits in an international context from a consultancy or corporate
Expertise in rewards processes, ranging from base salary to incentive programmes
Experience with performance management (preferably), and with Workday, or similar HR system
A solid foundation within benchmarks and compensation analyses
Ability to work independently and assume ownership for core rewards and performance processes, incl. developing and improving these
An analytical mindset and tech savviness – as you will be PD’s point of contact for compensation and performance management in Workday
Solid communications and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to build relationships across the organisation
Full proficiency in English, spoken and written
We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join us.
