About the role
As a Senior Frontend Engineer - Martech at DFDS, you will join a collaborative team working at the intersection of frontend engineering, customer data, analytics, and marketing technology. This is a role for someone who enjoys both hands-on implementation and seeing the bigger picture: how platforms, tracking, data flows, consent, and customer experiences connect to create better and more personalised journeys.
You will play an important part in strengthening our Martech foundation and helping us build more scalable and data-driven customer experiences across our digital platforms. The team is working on initiatives such as improving our customer data platform foundation, enabling more personalised experiences, supporting CRM automation and customer flows, and building reliable tracking and consent setups that allow us to work smarter across channels.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
Build and improve frontend implementations that support customer-facing journeys and Martech use cases.
Help establish and evolve a strong CDP foundation, with Twilio Segment experience considered a strong advantage.
Work with tracking, analytics, and customer data flows to ensure reliable insights and activation across web and CRM platforms.
Contribute to initiatives such as abandoned basket flows, B2B newsletter consent flows, and content classification / personalisation projects.
Collaborate closely with teammates and stakeholders across engineering, data, CRM, and marketing to design solutions that balance technical quality with business value.
Bring a broader systems mindset, helping the team connect platforms, integrations, and customer data in a scalable way.
This role is well suited to a senior profile who enjoys working across disciplines and who can combine implementation skills with architectural thinking. We are looking for someone who can not only contribute with strong technical execution but also help the team make sound decisions as we continue to evolve our Martech landscape.

To succeed in this role, your experience, technical depth, and ability to connect frontend development with Martech and customer data use cases is very important.
We imagine that you:
Have solid experience as a frontend engineer or developer, ideally at a senior level.
Bring experience working with Martech, customer platforms, or digital experience ecosystems.
Have worked with tracking, analytics implementations, customer data flows, and/or CRM-related integrations.
Understand how customer data, consent, personalisation, and activation come together across platforms.
Have experience with or interest in CDPs, with Twilio Segment experience being a significant advantage.
Enjoy working in a team and contributing to shared decisions rather than operating in isolation.
Can see the bigger technical and business picture and ideally bring a mindset that is close to solution architecture or data architecture when needed.
It is a strong advantage if you have experience with:
Customer Data Platforms (CDPs)
CRM automation
Personalisation initiatives
Customer-facing platform integrations
Javascript, Python or data-related tooling
Working in environments where engineering, analytics, and marketing collaborate closely
