About the role
As Senior Finance Business Partner for Ferry Operations, you will get a key role in an international, listed company. You will be a part of the Ferry Division Senior Finance Business Partner team, a close-knit group responsible for individual business units and characterized by a high professional standard and the ability to drive fresh initiatives in a dynamic and ambitious environment.
Acting as a sparring partner to the Divisional CFO and Management, your area of responsibility will span Ferry Operations, including the Vessel & Equipment Pool, Fleet Resilience & Technology, Terminals, Sustainable Fleet Projects, Health & Safety and Intermodal Management.
You will lead and develop a team of 4 Finance Business Partners who are situated at different locations around Europe. We expect you to have regular sessions with your team as well as with each team member individually to ensure that the team is aligned on focus areas and day-to-day tasks, while also ensuring that each team member is adequately prepared and has opportunities to develop their competences.
The key activities of the Ferry Finance Business Partnering department are organized under 3 headings:
Reporting activities
Operational insight activities
Business development activities
and your roles and responsibilities will include the following:
Help implement the Finance Business partnering concept (supporting strategy formulation and execution)
Support, prepare, develop and improve ongoing internal reporting, both historical and budgets/forecasts, including identifying, preparing and interpretation of relevant key performance indicators
Act as sparring partner for the management of the different business units in the Ferry Division
Challenge business units through analysis, identify needs for process alignment, and participate in the process securing improvements and optimizations
Participate in projects related to new initiatives/business as well as improvements to existing ones
Controlling of accounting information from the different business units
Be a part of developing our OneStream reporting tool
The position offers a unique opportunity to step into a key leadership role with broad exposure to senior leadership across the Ferry Division, providing a strong platform for continued development and future opportunities within DFDS.
The position is based at our headquarters in Copenhagen. In view of the number of international subsidiaries, you can expect some business travel – estimated at 20 days per year.
About you
You have a systematic and analytical approach to work. You have good communication skills and can work in a diverse team across cultural and national differences. Additionally, you are a friendly and responsible team player with a strong personal drive who understands the importance of meeting deadlines and delivering quality in your work.
Moreover, the ideal candidate brings:
Min. 4-5 years of relevant finance experience, ideally including a combination of accounting, auditing, and finance business partnering
A strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
Relevant experience from a larger international company
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Professional English skills, as English is our group language
