DFDS' Graduate Programme was a great starting point for my professional career. The rotations allowed me to experience and learn from different functions and people within finance, both in Denmark and abroad. This has given me a deeper understanding of our business and prepared me to transition into a permanent role.

Which teams do graduates typically join during the programme?
The programme is designed to provide graduates with a broad and diverse experience across DFDS. Typically, graduates start in a corporate or headquarters-based function during their first rotation, complete an international or business-unit-based rotation in their second placement, and then move into a third rotation in a different team or function.
While individual rotations vary depending on business needs and opportunities, the overall aim is to expose graduates to different parts of the organisation, functions, and ways of working. This variety helps graduates build a strong network, develop a broad understanding of the business, and discover where they can create the greatest impact in their future careers.
-
What happens after the graduate programme?
Many of our graduates continue their careers at DFDS in permanent roles across the business. While we cannot guarantee a position upon completion of the programme, our ambition is to retain and develop the talent we invest in.
Throughout the programme, graduates build valuable experience, networks, and business understanding that prepare them for their next career step within DFDS. As the programme progresses, we work closely with graduates to explore relevant opportunities that align with both their aspirations and business needs.
